Her Wild Side

In patient cages
she waits; a raging soul.
Swallowing an air of uncertainty,
she watches a world darker
than her pupils
poke and prod the sinews
of her pride-
comfortable in its sense
of security, lurking between
those loose bars.

  1. My mind's eye see's a big cat or a Frank Frazetta model prowling. Nice write.
